Heather's 40th Birthday Shoot

I was asked to do a surprise photoshoot for Heather's 40th birthday.  Her daughters sent me several ideas for the shoot. They wanted it colorful, they wanted a sign describing Heather, they wanted cake and champagne and balloons. I set up a backdrop and some studio lights. My wife, Vickie made the sign.  You only turn 40 once, you might as well make a party out of it.

PRO TIP: Bring Champagne To Photoshoots.

Tiny babies are tiny.

I met Kyle a few years ago at the Emerald City Comicon and we hit it off immediately. I was there watching Kyle's Nerd Rock band Kirby Krackle. We talked after the show and found we have a ton of interests in common: The X-Men, Captain America, The Fantastic Four, Galactus. You know, stuff like that.

Flash forward: Kyle asked me to take engagement photos of him and his lovely fiancé, Kristin.

Flash forward again: Kristin and Kyle have a baby and they ask me to take photos again. Hurray!

So the thing with babies... they are tiny.  I mean, of course they are tiny, they're babies.  I just forget how fragile and adorable they are. Oh, and babies cry sometimes, that doesn't mean you should put your camera away. The last shot sort of captures why I like Kyle so much.
